Doveswing You must be strong now. You must never give up. And when people make you cry and you are afraid of the dark, don't forget the light is always there. The forest wasn't exactly cold, but the warmth hadn't yet stretched across the whole forest. And the lithe form of Doveswing darted forward, hunting and searching for herbs. Lucky her, a big, plump brown rabbit had raced in her path. Muscles swiftly moved below her pelt. She was quite good at hunting, considering her size, pelt and who she was exactly. Doveswing, pure white she-cat, small as a new apprentice or kit, Medicine cat of Thunderclan. Odd, no? Oh wait, plus she was half clan.
She was on the rabbits tail nearly and she leapt, claws sinking into the freshkill's fur and flesh easily. And she dealt a swift blow to the neck to kill it and with a last twitch of its paw it lay still, dead. She picked of the prey proudly and moved to a sunny patch of ground, sun warming her back and tail as she leaned over the prey--eating it with a smile as she finished. Delicious. She sat there, licking her paws clean, removing the blood from her black and pick pads and black and white claws. Making sure to lick around her muzzle.
She wasn't sure how she knew to hunt and fight so well--But Starclan did. Oh they knew so well. They'd never even hinted at it. But maybe they would some day? No, maybe not. She sighed, burying the eaten kill before trailing off again. It wasn't all that bad today, it was warming up quickly again. She stopped spotting some Cobwebs, Thyme, and Yarrow all in near the same place. A circle of trees basically. She grinned and let out a yowl of happiness! Lucky her. The enthusiasm surged through the pure white cat and the odd green eyes sparkled. "Yes! I cannot believe my luck today!" RUNNING SPIRITThe tall form of a ThunderClan warrior trotted around the forest. She wasn't really looking for anything, nor was she trying to. She was tempted to just lay down and rest, but knowing that her Clanmates might find her made her keep going. She was just about to give up and go to sleep, when she smelled one of her Clanmates. More specifically, her best friend, Doveswing, the ThunderClan medicine cat.
Runningspirit smiled as she heard her friends outburst. She must be nearby, for the sound echoed loudly in the she-cat's ears. The ThunderClan warrior sped up as she thought she neared her friend. Finally, she reached the gray and white medicine cat. "Hi, Doveswing! Having a fine day aren't you?" she greeted happily.
Her friend looked glad, and she followed the she-cat's gaze. A bunch of herbs were all in the same place. "No cat in ThunderClan will die from sickness this season!" she meowed. What good luck!

Doveswing You must be strong now. You must never give up. And when people make you cry and you are afraid of the dark, don't forget the light is always there. The unusually small she-cat turned to the voice of her closest friend; Runningspirit as she greeted her. It seemed the half-blood cat could only have a better and better day. Her green eyes shined with joy as she turned giving a great smile to her friend. She practically purred her words as she spoke to the taller warrior. "Hello, Runningspirit! Of course; and I presume you are as well?"
She let out a loud and happy mew at her friends words. Though the dark cloud in the back of her mind that never left was there. It wasn't true, a cat could easily die of sickness still. Doveswing never thought she was all that good a medicine cat sometimes. Though everyone had a thought such as this sometime. Her delicate pink tongue poked out of her mouth as she wrapped cobweb around her tail and collected most of the other herbs. Leaving some for another time so they would grow back. RUNNING SPIRITThe gray she-cat watched her friend gather the herbs they needed, then she replied. "Yep! Nothing better than a sunny day." She practically jumped in excitement. She loved sunny days, and dreaded the time when rain would come and ruin them. So, of course, she hated rain. She brought her attention back to the Medicine Cat.
"So, do you need help carrying anything?" the ThunderClan warrior asked. She didn't want to be rude and make Doveswing carry everything. She was about to ask again, but thought better of it. I just asked seconds ago, I need to give her time to reply, she thought.

The medicine cat struggled to carry the herbs and when her friend offered help she dropped some of her herbs with a relieved sigh. She was never one to burden others with what she had chosen to do. Such as carry tons of herbs. She smiled happily at her friend. Sunny days and warm nights were her favorite things. "Could you please carry that Thyme, Runningspirit? I cant seem to carry it all."
She mewed with a laugh at herself. She brushed her tail against the Thyme gently and smiled. Picking up the Yarrow again and walking beside her friend. Headed toward the camp again with her new stock of herbs and padding forward softly. Grass brushing ever so lightly against her sides and belly fur. RUNNING SPIRITThe gray she-cat nodded, picking up the Thyme ever so gently. She held it gingerly in her mouth, careful not to chew or swallow any of the precious medicine. She followed Doveswing back to the ThunderClan camp.
She loved her Clan, and would do anything to protect it, even risking her life. That was why she had trained to be a warrior. But what if I was a medicine cat? She thought for a moment. I would know a bunch of things, and have the pleasure of healing my Clanmates with herbs, not claws.
I would have friends outside of the Clan, and not be able to really battle much. She shook her head. Being a warrior was more fun to her, but she knew medicine cats were a great addition to any Clan.

Doveswing thanked her friend as they headed forward and smiled brightly. They walked in silence for a while... It was such a nice day, she stopped, carefully arranging her hebs and cobwebs on the ground and motioning for her friend to do the same. She yawned and screwed her eyes up to the clouds slowly drifting by. "Sorry for making you stop...But, its such a good day. I just want to lay in the sun."
She apoligized stretching out in a warm patch of sun. She smiled up at her friend--looking very much like an apprentice. Being so small wasnt all that bad though, well usually. One of the hardest things in life...Is having words in your heart that you can't utter.

RUNNING SPIRITRunningspirit hadn't noticed that her friend had stopped until she had said so. She smiled, and she replied slowly. "Don't worry; I've wanted to stop and lay in the sun too."
It was all too true. She carefully set her load of herbs down and yawned. Sunlight always made her tired, and relaxed. She loved days like these, ones where she could relax and smile. She couldn't help frowning during any rainy day. Rain wasn't her thing. She didn't know how RiverClan cats could stand water.
The gray warrior found a patch of sunshine and let it warm up her fur, though she hadn't been cold. "Such a lovely day..." she murmured.

At her friends words she let out a delighted purr, smiling up at her. She heard her freind muttured words because she'd twisted her ears in her direction. She smiled and nodded, the silence wasn't an awkward one--not for Doveswing at least. There usually wasn't. Doveswing was weay too comfortable for those. And it seemed to rub off on others. She opened one deep green eyes and looked at her friend out of the corner of her eye. "Have you ever thought about whats beyond the clans?"
She questioned, it was random yes, but she'd never had a chance to ask anyone about it. She'd seen what it was like out there, in dreams and reality. She couldn't be sure if the dreams were from Starclan or not. It was hard to tell. She'd walked in the footsteps of other cats, far away and close to the clans. Though only in dreams. Maybe one day she could for real. One of the hardest things in life...Is having words in your heart that you can't utter.

Runningspirit thought for a moment. She had always wondered what was beyond the Clans, but loyalty kept her on a tight leash. "Of course," she meowed. "and maybe we'll see what's out there one day." She believed that every cat would be able to beyond the Clan territories. If they wanted to at least. At the moment, she didn't want to even think about leaving her Clan.
She gave her friend a smile. "Maybe one day we'll go out there together to see what the world has to offer." she mewed, her face serious, except for the warm grin planted on her face. She wasn't being sarcastic, just trying to make her words seem less.... weird sounding. Leave it to her to become shy.
