Wind & Water; The Perfect or Worst Storm?

Foxfur swam towards the RiverClan camp. The cold river almost numbed his paws, and he couldn't wait to get out of the water. He hated getting wet. And looking at the river reminded him of Minnowfur, his former mate. Butterflies fluttered around his stomach. Would any RiverClan warriors put two and two together when they saw that he looked exactly like Rowankit? Would Specklestar be mad? Was RiverClan even sick? It had only a faint scent of sickness, like they had just gotten over an outbreak. Maybe the kits were overreacting and RiverClan didn't need their help anymore. Foxfur finally made it to the RiverClan camp, but the ground also made his paws hurt. The journey there seemed to take forever, and he had scraped his paws along the ground from the fear of seeing his kits, Dawnkit and Rowankit, again.

Fogpaw shivered as he stepped out of the river. How could RiverClan cats take that?! He snorted and followed his mentor. The camp didn't even have a strong stench of sickness. Did those kits trick them? Oh we're going to get in trouble aren't we, he thought.

[Nala]

OOC: We need Specklestar. And there isn't a RiverClan medicine cat!!!!!!

IC: Foxfur turned to Fogpaw. "Why don't you go check out the medicine cat's den? It's over there." Foxfur pointed with his muzzle to the medicine cat's den. "I'm going to go see if I can find Specklestar, or maybe even my kits." Foxfur hadn't really seen his kits. He only heard about them from Minnowfur before she died. He turned and padded into the camp, ignoring the gasps and whispers coming from the RiverClan cats that had been slowly waking up.

OOC: uhh, we could pretend there was a medicine cat, but we don't use a name. We can just call the med cat an it for now. XD

IC: "Alright," he meowed. "But be careful." The pale gray tome yawned, and let his paws carry him towards the medicine cats' den. Would they be okay with him being there? Most likely not, but it was too late to turn back. With a sigh he padded into the den.

[Nala]

Foxfur padded over to the nursery, hoping to see his kits, when he saw Spottedtail, Minnowfur's sister. She also nursed his kits when Minnowfur died. He quickened his pace and noticed that Spottedtail was heavily pregnant, her knew litter due probably in a few weeks. "Spottedtail, where's Rowankit and Dawnkit?"

Spottedtail blinked in surprise. "Foxfur! Rowankit? Dawnkit? Oh, yeah! They're apprentices now! I think you just missed them on a patrol. What are you doing here? Is it because of the sickness?"

Foxfur felt slightly relieved. So there was a sickness! "Yes! How bad is it? It doesn't smell very strong."

Spottedtail wrinkled her nose. "Most of our cats are sick, and some are dead. One of our warriors found this tree that they knew to be a eucalyptus tree, I think. They pulled off a twig, and it's really strong. If you get too close, it burns your nose. But it covers the smell."

Foxfur thanked her and ran off to Fogpaw. "Cats are sick! A warrior found this tree twig that covers the smell a bit! Come on, lets go help."

"Alright." Fogpaw blinked and ran after his mentor. It's a good thing I'm a WindClan cat, he thought. I would be tired if I wasn't.

Speckledstar was entering the camp from a potrol. She saw Foxfur and Fogpaw, both windclan cats, pad out of the nersury and twards the camp entrince." What are you doing here Foxfur?" She asked. She wasnt very happy about the visit but his kits were here so he had one reason...

"Uh oh." Fogpaw whispered. The RiverClan leader was here now. And she had found them in her camp. This is bad. He glanced at his mentor. "Foxfur, what are we going to do?" he hissed.

[Nala]

OOC: Specklestar knows about Foxfur's kits?

IC: Foxfur leaned down to hiss in Fogpaw's ear. "Stay calm. Act like we were supposed to be here. Keep your chin high and don't look alarmed or angry." Foxfur raised his head to match Specklestar's height and looked straight into her eyes, his own calm. "Hello, Specklestar. Two of your kits came to our camp to come fetch us. They said you needed our help, so we came." Foxfur prayed that Specklestar wouldn't be mad.

OOC: ofcorce!! its her clan, she knows almost every thing...

IC: " Did they? Did they tell you what for Foxfur?" She asked smiling. Before the tom could answer her question she asked another." I see that you got an apprentice." She smiled and looked at the young cat." What might you name be?"

Fogpaw held his head high as the RiverClan leader Speckledstar addressed him. He opened his mouth, but closed it. He wanted to sound smart, and not like some overexcited kit. "I am Fogpaw of WindClan." he replied, his tone nonchalant. He didn't want to sound rude, or too excited about meeting the RiverClan leader.

Speckledstar smiled as she caught a sparkle in the apprentices I as it shone from the light in the clearing. " The name suits you." She laughed again and then said" I am sure you will be a nobel warrior..." Then she turned her gaze to the apprentices mentor..." Foxfur, how long do you think you will be staying?" She said kindly...

[Nala]

"As long as you need help. Do you need help? We could leave if we're not needed..." Foxfur suddenly realized something. Specklestar might know that he was the father of Rowanpaw and Dawnpaw! Foxfur leaned close to Specklestar, his voice barely a whisper. "Do you know about... Rowanpaw and Dawnpaw? Who their father is?"

Speckledstar smiled as she heard Foxfur whisper in her ear. The dappled leader let out a small laugh and then looked at the Windclan warrior." Yes dear Foxfur, I know." She sighed." I have known, for a long, long time." The dapple coated leader turned her gaze to the nerusury." They look just like you..."

[Nala]

Foxfur sighed, his head bowed. "Yes, they do. But it's my fault Minnowfur died. If she didn't have those kits..." Foxfur shook his head and turned back to the RiverClan leader. "So, you need our help?"
