Deep Inside, You'll Find What You Seek
Personality:
Ashkit is the adventurous type, always sticking her nose into places it doesn't belong. She hates being ignored, and will do almost anything to get attention. She loves the excitement that Clan battles bring, and the cool stories that come with them. She loves to talk, even when others don't care about the topic she's on. She loves to play, and will chase your tail if she feels like it.
Her favorite thing to do is sneak out of camp. She loves being outside of what she calls, 'A Large Den.' She believes that she'll have more luck if she thinks outside the box, and she considers her camp the huge box. She's the fun-loving kit who gets on every cats' nerves. But they can't stay mad at her for long.
She makes everyone happy, though most don't even realize it. Ashkit is a goofball, always putting a smile on her Clanmates' faces. She's the bright ray of hope that keeps everyone going, or at least she thinks so. She is full of energy, and says she could go on all night if her mother would let her. Buy, fortunately for all the other cats, her mother forces her to sleep.
She can have a little temper, and will snap at others if they make her mad enough. She has a sharp-tongue, and sometimes she'll use it at the wrong time. This is her worst quality, but is her best at times when it is needed, though it rarely every is. She can hold a long grudge, and isn't afraid to back her words up with claws as sharp as thorns. She would jump into a fight without a thought, and this can be a problem when she's older.
Her sweet personality is what helps her make friends that love her. She is the little drama queen in her Clan. She likes to cause trouble for her Clanmates by giving them a hard time. Her face almost always has a big smile planted on it. Sometimes though, her words are laced with venom.
Look At What's In Front Of You, And You'll See Hope
Description:
A pelt made of soft, gray clouds, fluffier than most kits' is owned by this beautiful, spontaneous ball of fur. A splash of white on her small chest, and dark gray stripes covering her lean body are what makes her appearance. Mischievous blue-green-gray eyes are on the narrow, warrior-like face, which always has a toothy grin lighting up the gray bundle of sweetness. A black nose blends in with the gray storm cloud-like face. Ears are always pricked up in excitement, as she looks around to find stories of the past.
Her legs are short, but strong. Her strong will is in every flick of her tail, and she looks exactly like her mother. Her Clanmates always comment on how she and her mother, Spottedsky, look so much alike. Her delicate paws are pure white, and she has a black, leaf-shaped mark on the pink pad of her left front paw. Her pelt shines in any light, weak or strong.
The Past Is Better Left Hidden This Time
{Spottedsky's point of view}
"We can't do this." the dappled she-cat whispered, eyes wide with horror at what she had done. She was staring at a black and white tom, one of her Clanmates. She was the SkyClan medicine cat, Spottedsky. The tom was Patchstorm.
“Yes we can,” Patchstorm argued, the fur along his spine rippling. His eyes were pleading, and they bore into Spottedsky’s until she thought she was going to burst with sadness.
Tears welled up in her beautiful blue eyes, and she turned away so he couldn’t see her. Shaking her head sorrowfully, she whispered,
“Good-bye, I’m sorry…”
Five moons later, Spottedsky felt a kick in her belly. Oh no! What have I done? She ran into the warriors’ den, seeking out Patchstorm, the father of her unborn kits. “Patchstorm, come into the medicine cats’ den.” She ordered.
She ran back into her den and sat down with a thump. Her mate came in just heartbeats later. “What is it?” he asked worriedly, though hope shone in his bright green eyes. She knew he was thinking that she needed him, and she did.
“You’re a father.” She mewed flatly, licking the fur on her belly. She suddenly protective of her kits, and she glanced around, like someone would come and take them away, though they weren’t even born yet.
Patchstorm’s eyes widened, and he rushed forward, rubbing his muzzle against the worried she-cat. “Don’t worry, you’ll be a great mother.” He meowed, licking her ear fondly.
“But I’m a medicine cat; I’m not allowed to have kits, or a mate!” she protested, fur fluffing up in terror. Would StarClan forgive her for this mistake? She didn’t think so.
“Leave. Now.” She growled, her eyes narrowed angrily. “This is my problem, since I’m the one having these kits.”
Spottedsky turned away and padded back farther into her den. What have I done, she thought, repeating those words over and over again in her head.
Dawn had come, and Spottedsky rushed out of her nest and into the forest. She knew it was her time, and she had to get away, fast. Panting with the effort, she dragged herself far away from her camp so that no one could hear her agonized cries that would pierce the air. She lay down, eyes glazed with pain. How will I keep this a secret?
A vicious cramp gripped her stomach, and she knew right then that her kits were coming. It seemed like forever, but finally, all of the kits had been born. There were two toms and a she-cat. Both toms looked like Patchstorm, though they had bits of gray. The one with blue eyes was Brackenkit, and the one with green eyes was Stormkit. The gray she-cat looked exactly like her mother, and nearby, Spottedsky saw pieces of ash on a leaf. She though that it was a sign from StarClan, and named the she-cat Ashkit.
{Ashkit’s point of view}
Going back to camp was harder than I thought. Snow covered the forest ground, and mother was always glancing suspiciously around like a fox would come and get her. I had flicked my stubby tail angrily when she stopped us because of a moving twig, and I regretted calling out. A badger rushed out, and my two brothers were killed instantly. I remember screaming “No!” as my mother picked me up and raced away, kicking up snow. The badger had chased us, but stopped as it realized that it had two kits it could eat. It lumbered back to my brothers and I saw the beast eat them one by one.
Back in camp, my mother told the whole Clan of her forbidden love, and about me. She resigned as medicine cat and became a warrior. She was moved to the nursery, and that’s were she is now, nursing me. I haven’t been alive that long, but I can still remember every small, vivid detail of that snowy day. Sometimes, I wake up and see the fox’s yellow eyes staring at me, it’s teeth gleaming as it reaches down to grab me. But, then I realize that it’s just a dream, and Spottedsky, my mother, will always keep me safe.
