"Great!" Dawnstar meowed. She wondered if she was doing good so far as Clan leader. I guess I am, she thought. She gave Lynxear an approving nod and moved on. She wanted to be the best cat for her Clan. She was going to catch one more piece of prey for her friends, then head back, unless she found more.

Redclaw spotted a mouse nearby, and crouched, ready ti spring, when the wind blowed towards it, bringing ThunderClan scent with it. The mouse squeaked and disappeared into it's hole. "Mouse dung!" Redclaw hissed. The ThunderClan border was on the other side of their territory. What were they doing all the way over here, in ShadowClan territory? "Dawnstar, do you smell that?" RedClaw didn't want to say anything until he was sure.

OOC: Don't Know Where You're Going With This, But Okay.
IC: Dawnstar sniffed, bringing her nose to the sky. The ThunderClan odor drifted towards her, making her wrinkle her nose in disgust. "Yes," she answered grimly. "We will have to set up more patrols." she meowed, narrowing her eyes angrily. Why was ThunderClan here? Only StarClan knew. The only thing they could do now, was finish their patrol.

OOC: idk. i didn't know what else to put, so i decided to make a little drama or somethin.
IC: "I'm going to go check it out." Redclaw ran off in the direction of where the scent was coming from, not waiting for an answer. Then, he remembered that Dawnstar was the leader, and he could get in trouble for leaving like that. He stopped and padded back. "Sorry, I'm so used to taking orders from our other leader..."

Dawnstar flinched. "I know..." she mewed quietly. "We'll check it out later." she added. She started to head towards the other borders. Hopefully the other Clans haven't trespassed too, she thought.

Redclaw padded behind Dawnstar, his ears flattened and his tail down in embarrassment. He scowled himself; he had seen Dawnstar flinch when he said how he wasn't used to her being leader. Could she blame him? She had just become leader, and yes, she was deputy before this, of course, but he wasn't used to her actually being leader. She usually just told him to go on a patrol or something. He wasn't important.

Sighing, Dawnstar began to think about the past. She remembered her friend, Sunnytail, who had been her old Clanmate. Sunnytail had been her best friend, but she was hit by a two-leg monster. She wished Sunnytail could be here to ease her loneliness. I can't be so nostalgic, she thought.

OOC: Isn't Sunnytal a character in The Code Of The Clans book? lol IC: "Is something wrong, Dawnstar?" Redclaw heard her sigh, and wondered if it was because of him.

Lynxear silently padded beside Dawnstar. She said nothing, only looking to her leader as she saw her flinch when Redclaw brought up the old leader and all.

"No. It's nothing." Dawnstar mewed quickly. She shook her head. "Don't worry. I'm fine." she added, seeing Redclaw's worry. I'm the perfect leader, she thought sarcastically, giving a snort of amusement.

"Oh. Okay." Redclaw knew there was no use pressing Dawnstar for the truth. He didn't want to agitate her. "So, what about you, Lynxear? Anything you want to talk about?" Redclaw hated silence. He loved to talk.

"Nope. Not unless there is something I should talk about." Lynxear replied softly. She didn't have anything to say. What more was there to say?

Dawnstar watched quietly, not sure if she should join the conversation. Yeah, she was outgoing, but she could be shy at the same time. Her voice would probably be consumed by the wind with how sore her throat was. Brown tabby fur bristled as she thought of how mouse-brained she was being. Rolling her eyes at her own shyness, she began to speak.
"Yeah, the borders have been quiet and no one has had any cat prodigy or anything." she meowed, her radiant smile aimed towards her Clanmates.
