Grasskit stumbled back, shocked. The berries didn't look poisonous. She wanted to sniff at them, but her mother had pushed her away one time, and the pale gray she-kit knew that her mother would do it a second time too. She stared at her mother, daring her to scold her. I'm just a kit, how should I know? She rolled her eyes, knowing the reason why she could have died.
She decided to blame someone else. "Well if Wolfeyes hadn't left me alone I would have known." she retorted. Clever as a fox, the little kit was. Blaming the only one who had been with her only seconds before she ran to eat the berries.

Leopardheart was about to pick Grasskit up by the sruff when she heard her blam the warrior next to her. " And if you would have done as you were told there wouldn't have ever been a chance that you could die like you do now!!!" With that the queen pick the gray kit up by her scruff and ram twards the camp...
Wolfeyes let out a miffled growl when he heard the bengal she cat scoled the kit. He ran after the now racing queen and prayed to starclan that if the kit survivs the poisin, that she would have learned a lesson to follow directions...

Grasskit hissed as her mother picked her up and ran towards camp. Just my luck. I didn't even eat the berry and she takes me straight the medicine cats' den. She flattened her ears in annoyance as she heard the muffled growl of Wolfeyes. Oooh, I'm scared now. She had to bite her tongue to keep any insult from slipping out of her mouth. This is just great. She tried to twist out of her mother's grasp, since after all, she was almost an apprentice. She gave up after a few more tries of wiggling around, then she went limp.
Nightstar is going to be mad, the pale gray she-kit thought. Amber eyes glinted in the sunlight as she glared at the warrior running beside Leopardheart. He's the one who left me alone! Why doesn't he get yelled at? She wanted to scream those words out, but she knew she would be in even more trouble if she did so. She thought some more before she started to ask her question.
"I didn't even eat the berries; not one touched my mouth, so why do I have to be carried to camp?" This bothered her more than when Wolfeyes said she was a disappointment. She could take that from the warrior, mostly because his opinion didn't count when he first started to be a mouse- brain. At least that was how Grasskit decided to describe his behavior.
She would have turned to bite her mother, if Leopardheart hadn't been her mother. She sighed, as she found no escape from this embarrassing moment. She could picture her entrance into the camp already. Her mother would be screaming that she had eaten a deathberry, though she hadn't, and every cat would be looking at her. Just thinking about what was coming up made her nervous, and suddenly her heart dropped to the pit of her stomach.
Am I alive just to be embarrassed by Leopardheart? She hoped not. If she was, this would be the worst thing that had ever happened to her.

Leopardheart went over to the medicene cats den so that Grasskit can get rid of the poisin from the berry. If she ended up leaving to starclan, then Leopardheart would feel very upset and guilty. She said a silent prayer to Starclan that it wouldn't happen. Then she thought that if Grasskit was telling the truth that she didnt eat it then all her worries would be calmed. The queen still to the precautions and hoped that the medicene cat would have the right herbs for the job...

Ugh, really mom? Grasskit tried again to rid of her mother's firm grip on her scruff, but failed miserably. "I'm fine!" the pale gray she-cat insisted. Why couldn't Leopardheart see that? She sighed in defeat. I might as well just sit and watch as the medicine cat says there's nothing wrong with me. I mean, I didn't even get a chance to eat the berry! She let out a growl of annoyance. Why was she so unlucky?
OOC: Sorry it's a bit short. It's hard to think with a 3 year old brother. =P

Leopardheart was almost to the medicine cat's den when she heard " I'm fine!!". The queen put the gray, sqwerming body on the clearing floor. " Grasskit..." The bengal she cat shook her head. " If your fine, then what do you think would of happen if you ate that death berry? I might not of been there in time... What if I lost you?..." The queen was almost to the brink of tears. She was trying not to picture her daughter's lifeless body in the clearing she had found her in. Her head was bowed as she proscessed her thoughts and tried to pull them out...

Grasskit thought for a moment. What is she had eaten the berries? She shuddered, but her usually relaxed attitude came back. "I'm glad you found me before I ate those poisonous berries, but I didn't eat them." she meowed slowly, thinking about her next words. "If you don't believe I'm fine, then take me to Doveswing so she can check me out." Doveswing was the ThunderClan medicine cat, and she would tell Leopardheart that she was okay, right? She was pretty sure she was fine, but if her mother was really that worried, she guessed she would have to deal with her mother's caution.
At the same time, she was glad her mother actually worried about her. Some cats had mothers and fathers who hated them, tormented them, and eventually killed them. She was lucky her mother cared for her. Love. Some cats never felt it, and they turned cruel. She gave a mental shrug. She wouldn't turn out that way.

Leopardheart raised her head. She eyes her little gray kit. She didnt look ill, but the queen was still concerned. She let out a sigh, if Grasskit said she was fine, then I have to trust her. But if I see any sign of illness, then I will run strait to Doveswing. With another sigh, she sat down on her haunches." Okay, I trust you Grasskit. I am sorry I worry so much. I guees that I am so afraid that one of the three of you would get hert and..." Leopardheart sighed agian and then shrugged. " I dont know, maybe I am too paranoid. I am just glad you're alright..." She licked the little kit on her small head and touched her nose to Grasskit's." I love you Grasskit, never forget that. Promise me you wont..."

[b}"Don't get so emotional mom."[/b] she teased. and then added an "I won't." She curled up next to her mother and yawned. She was getting tired. It was time to go back to the nursery. She murmured an, I love you, to her mother and walked to her nest in the nursery. Her brothers were wide awake and talking. She told them to shut up and fell asleep.

Leopardheart laughed and then followed her kit into the nersury. She saw Harekit and his brother playing around and talking. She saw that Grasskit was asleep and she smiled. The queen licked her head gently and then looked at her two other kits. " Go play out in the clearing so your sister can sleep." She purred and nudged them toward the entrince...
